At Ameren Corporation, its board of directors elected Warner Baxter, current chairman, president and CEO, to the position of executive chairman. Concurrent with these actions, Marty Lyons has been elected president and CEO of Ameren and a member of the board of directors. Ameren Corporation also announced two organizational changes that will further the company’s sustainability efforts: Gwen Mizell was named chief sustainability officer, a newly created position, and vice president of innovation at Ameren; and Patrick Smith Sr. was promoted to vice president of economic, community and business development at Ameren Missouri.
CPS Energy President and CEO Paula Gold-Williams informed its board of trustees of her plans to leave the company in early 2022. The board has formed an executive search committee to find a new president and CEO.
DTE Energy announced several executive appointments. Joi Harris, a 30-year veteran of DTE, is president of DTE Gas. Renee Tomina has been promoted from DTE Gas vice president to senior vice president, major enterprise projects. Cedric Flowers, director of gas platform major enterprise projects, has been promoted to vice president of DTE Gas, replacing Tomina. Marco Bruzzano, vice president of corporate strategy, has been promoted to senior vice president, corporate strategy and regulatory affairs, replacing Camilo Serna. Jaspreet Singh, director of supply chain management, has been promoted to vice president of corporate services. He replaces Tony Tomczak, who was named vice president, electric sales and marketing.
The board of directors of WEC Energy Group has taken the next steps in the company’s succession planning process. Scott Lauber, currently chief operating officer, is promoted to president and CEO effective Feb. 1. In his new role, Lauber reports to Executive Chair Gale Klappa. Kevin Fletcher, currently president and CEO, has announced his plan to retire. From Feb. 1 until his retirement in June, Fletcher will serve as a senior adviser to help ensure a seamless transition.
