A Year of New Adventures in Sevierville, Tennessee
From thrilling rides to once-in-a-lifetime experiences, there are plenty of new things to see and do in Sevierville, Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains this year.
This spring, meet the girls. Lucia, Valentina, and Frida are taking it slow and helping guests learn about the amazing lives of sloths. Guests at Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo can reserve a special sloth encounter (additional ticketing required) for an opportunity to get up close, feed, and pet these amazing creatures.
Just down the road, Dig N’ Zone Theme Park welcomes guests to ride, drive, and operate real construction equipment and enjoy construction-themed thrill rides for all ages.
Later this summer, soar high above the Parkway on The Wagon Wheeler, a towering new swing ride at SkyLand Ranch. This mountaintop attraction is also known for its live entertainment, mountain coaster, adorable miniature farm animals, and fantastic views. Best of all, when you purchase an admission pass, it’s good for three consecutive days of enjoying the park!
Soaky Mountain Waterpark kicks off its regular 2025 season on May 10 and promises an exciting new ride this summer. Rafter’s Rage is a new six-person raft ride that starts eight stories in the air, spans over 800 feet in length, and features four artfully crafted arcs to create a thrilling drifting experience —a world’s first in water slides.
Plan ahead for fun-filled events in Sevierville, including Bloomin’ BBQ Music & Food Festival (May 16 & 17, 2025). Enjoy championship BBQ, crafts, kids’ games, and free live concerts from headliners including Everette, Steep Canyon Rangers, Larry Fleet, and more.
Be sure and put historic downtown Sevierville on your must-see list, too. Take the free, self-guided walking tour and snap a photo with the bronze statue of Sevierville’s own Dolly Parton. When all that walking leaves you hungry, downtown’s eateries have you covered. Choose among eleven restaurants within a couple blocks featuring everything from old fashioned sodas and shakes to elevated brunch fare, fresh seafood, brick-oven fired pizzas, and steaks prepared in an open hearth.
