FAMILY FUN FOR ALL
Spring & Summer Travels Come to Life in Sevierville, Tennessee
Tucked into the foothills of Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Sevierville feels worlds away from ordinary. Whether enjoying quaint downtowns and history, thrilling outdoor adventures, or family fun, this small town delivers. In fact, Sevierville made USA Today’s 2024 list of 10 best small towns to visit in the south.
Explore Sevierville’s History
Step into the heart of Sevierville’s historic downtown for chef-driven eateries, boutique-shopping, and self-guided historic walking tours covering everything from architecture and art to Sevierville’s own Dolly Parton. Speaking of Dolly, be sure to snap a photo with her famous bronze statue and plan for some duck pin bowling at The Pines Downtown — located in the building where she played her first paying gig at the age of 10.
Thrilling Outdoor Adventure
While the Smoky Mountains offer nearly 800 miles of maintained hiking trails and ample scenic overlooks, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors around town (and get some adrenaline flowing, too)! Hop a ride with Scenic Helicopter Tours and explore the mountains from above. Or soar through the trees at one of several zip line courses in the area — The Goliath Zip Line Tour at Foxfire Adventure Park provides breathtaking views over 400 feet above the forest floor.
Family Fun
There are always new things to do in Sevierville. This year, bring your young construction enthusiasts to Dig ‘N Zone, a theme park where kids of all ages can safely operate real heavy equipment — from mini excavators to diggers and more. Then learn about over 130 species of tropical animals up close at Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo (including axolotls) and book a special animal encounter with one of their resident sloths! At XPERIA: Ocean Journey enjoy a digital oceanic adventure and experience the deep sea like never before.
This summer, SkyLand Ranch will open a thrilling new swing ride at the mountaintop theme park known for its live entertainment, mountain coaster, and adorable miniature animals. This summer Soaky Mountain Waterpark will also open a new ride called Rafter’s Rage. This six-person raft ride has been artfully engineered to give riders a sense of drifting and zero gravity for a totally unique waterslide experience.
