“Our goal is to empower parents to learn about their children’s health.”
FROM THE EDITOR
Welcome to Parents Health Guide, a special issue from the editors at Parents. In this edition, we’re looking at a condition that affects 1 in 13 children: severe allergies. More specifically, food allergies and how to navigate them safely as a family. We learned a lot from the experts in this issue, like the difference between an allergy and an intolerance and why epinephrine is critical for a child with food allergies. We even spoke to a mom about how she safely feeds her child when she is the one with all the allergies.
We put a great deal of care into reporting and writing the articles in this issue because we know how difficult it can be to find reliable, up-to-date information when it comes to your child’s health. Our goal is to empower parents to learn about their children’s health in a way that is comprehensive and easy to understand. So, when you read about babies and food allergies (p5) or the reality of back to school for kids with life-threatening allergies (p12), know that you’re in good hands.
We hope you enjoy this special issue of Parents Health Guide.
Sincerely,
GRACE BASTIDAS,
