Introduced in 2000, the White Hot technology employed by Odyssey putters helped make them best-sellers. And that is a big reason why the California clubmaker continues to use urethane inserts in its flat sticks.
The latest example of that is the new White Hot OG putter line, which is composed of two blade models (White Hot OG #1 and White Hot OG #1 WS) and six mallets (including the fabled 2-Ball) and features different neck configurations (with single and double bends) as well as toe-hang or face-balanced versions.
Of course, it all starts with the two-part, urethane insert, which Odyssey officials describe as having the formulation, feel, sound and performance of the original White Hot line.
The clubs also feature a silver PVD finish with fine milling on the surface and are available in a stepless steel shaft or a multi-material Stroke Lab shaft in a new, candy apple red shaft.
