SuperStroke promotes its products with the tagline: “Change your grip, change your game.” Those words aptly describe what company officials believe their latest release is all about. Called WristLock, it is designed to promote greater accuracy and distance control by enabling golfers to lock in the upper wrist when they stroke their putts and prevent unwanted motion in the process.
The key feature in this piece of equipment is a wrist contour at the top of the grip that provides a seamless fit, no matter if the player is using a standard grip or some variation of the claw or (in the case of a righty) using a “left-hand-low” grip. The use of “no taper technology” is included to create even grip pressure, which theoretically promotes a more consistent stroke and helps to maintain the path of the putter head.
SuperStroke technicians also have employed what they call Traxion Control, through the use of a surface texture that fosters better feel and feedback. And they have added a CounterCore weight system to make it easier for golfers to engage the larger muscles in the back and shoulders – and to produce a more stable and repeatable putting stroke while reducing the sort of putter face angle rotation that comes when the wrists move during the stroke.
