ACUHO-I is proud to announce the re-naming of its celebrated Herstory Award to honor the contributions and legacy of one of our pioneering members. Carmen L. Vance has been instrumental in the history of our Association, serving as the founding chair of the ACUHO-I Foundation in 1988, as Association president in 1988, and as a four-time Individual Major Donor to the Foundation. Additionally, she was honored with ACUHO-I’s James C. Grimm Leadership and Service Award in 1991 and the ACUHO-I Award in 1998 and was inducted into the ACUHO-I Foundation’s Parthenon Society in 2013. The Herstory Award has honored extraordinary women in the campus housing profession who exemplify leadership and service on campus and to the Association and the field as a whole. ACUHO-I is proud to recognize Carmen’s legacy and monumental contributions to the profession.
Nominations for all ACUHO-I awards are currently open. Help ACUHO-I recognize and celebrate the individuals who strengthen the profession and positively impact the lives of students. Nominations must be submitted by November 6, 2019.
New for this year, ACUHO-I’s Campus Housing Index is offering a simpler and more affordable pricing model, offering Premium Access at more affordable rates – up to 50% off of the original price. Pricing for completers is $550 for members and $650 for non-members, and pricing for non-completers is $950 for members and $1,500 for non-members. As in past years, completing at least 50% of the questions gives your entire staff free Basic Access to the platform.
Tuesday, December 3, is the National Day of Giving. Celebrate by supporting the Foundation, and make a tax-deductible pledge that will help fund future-focused research and programs that support current and new members. For more information, see www.acuho-i.org/foundation/give.
