Intergenerational ministries on Facebook
The new “UMC Intergenerational Ministries” page on Facebook connects pastors, Christian educators and others seeking to create, nurture and grow intergenerational faith communities and ministries.
God created humans to be in relationship. Modeling and practicing faith in community, we grow in our relationships with God and with each other. Young learn from old, and elders learn from children. Paying attention to God at work in all people, we see new ways to be in ministry with each other and the world.
The Facebook page members ask and respond to questions, share resources and provide insight and wisdom for the group. Members can also post invitations to events.
All people interested and serving in United Methodist intergenerational ministry are invited to join the Facebook group, which launched in January. Membership in the closed group requires approval of the moderator, the Rev. Tanya Marie Eustace, director of children and intergenerational ministries at Discipleship Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee.
