The IGA Welcomes Indoor Golf Facilities to the IGA Network
Golf is growing, and the way people experience the game continues to expand. Across the country, indoor golf facilities, simulators, and hitting bay venues have become an important part of the golf journey for players of all skill levels. So too has the connection between traditional golf facilities and non-traditional golf facilities.
Several IGA Member Courses have invested in indoor hitting bays and simulator technology to provide year-round opportunities for practice, instruction, and play. These facilities recognize that indoor golf is not a separate segment of the game, but rather an extension of it.
By combining on-course experiences with indoor reps and entertainment options, golfers stay engaged throughout the year while providing more accessible, time-friendly formats to new players. Indoor facilities have become valuable community hubs that keep golfers engaged regardless of weather, daylight, or access to a course.
Idaho Golf is bigger than any one venue. It is a community united by a shared passion for the game. At its core, the IGA strives to be a unifying force for the golf industry in Idaho. Our goal is to bring together all segments of the game. By creating connections across the industry, we hope to strengthen the golf community, support the growth of the game, and direct players to more opportunities in the sport.
That is why the IGA is excited to launch its new IGA Indoor Club Program in the fall.
The IGA has always been committed to helping build communities that are connected with the game. The Indoor Club Membership Program reflects that commitment by recognizing indoor facilities as an important part of today's golf landscape and welcoming them into the IGA Network.
In the new program, Indoor clubs will be able to take advantage of two key features of being part of the IGA network. First, a dedicated Club Directory on the IGA website will list participating Indoor Clubs alongside IGA member golf courses, making it easy to find trusted venues for practice, coaching, leagues, and play.
In addition, golfers will be able to find indoor club events through the IGA’s popular Online Member Club Tournament Book/Golf Hub, with convenient access to event details, online registration, and results, creating more opportunities to play and compete year-round.
This initiative recognizes that golf thrives when players have more ways to experience and enjoy the game. Traditional courses remain at the heart of golf, while practice facilities, teaching academies, and indoor golf serve as essential complements that introduce new players, provide year-round access, and help golfers improve their skills.
Together, these facilities form a stronger golf ecosystem that supports the long-term growth of the game.
As we prepare for the fall launch of the Indoor Club Membership Program, we are proud to welcome indoor golf facilities into the IGA family. Their contribution to the game is undeniable, and their continued growth represents one of the most exciting opportunities in golf today. The IGA is excited to ensure that indoor facilities have a place in that conversation and a home within our growing network.
