At every annual convention, there are three mini-conferences that cater to NSBE’s unique demographic.
For K-12 attendees, there are new areas of interest and all Pre-College Initiative conference programming is designed to garner interest in STEM; develop scientific thinking and ingenuity. Many of the workshops and competitions will also help guide students along the college-prep path and insure they have tools to assist them in getting into college. The Graduate School Conference enables attendees to learn how to use graduate education as a tool to advance their careers and community. One of the many highlights includes the African American Deans’ Forum, where deans from around the country offer advice and insight to the world of higher education. This mini-conference is done in conjunction with the GEM Consortium. http://www.nsbe.org/NSBE40/GSC.aspx
