In 2019, the MGA established the MGA Honors, a platform that recognizes notable accomplishments and developments in the game. The Hall of Merit, a category of the Honors, celebrates individuals and groups with ties to the Met Area whose contributions to golf – across the Met Area and beyond – have made history and impacted the game.

The MGA is proud to partner with Stifel to continue to celebrate and educate on those who have made great contributions to the game through the MGA Honors platform, and welcomes two new deserving groups to the 2025 Hall of Merit. 

The MGA Honors also includes the Hall of Champions to recognize winners of the MGA’s oldest and largest championships, and the Hall of Achievement, to celebrate those who have received the MGA’s Player of the Year and Distinguished Service Awards.  

The MGA Honors is shared across all MGA platforms, and lives virtually on a dedicated microsite, mgahonors.org. The 2025 inductees to the Hall of Merit will be further celebrated through a video presentation in late March.
