In a word, one could describe this year’s Influential Leaders as “transformational.” The actions of these influencers during the past 12 months have raised the bar not only for their companies but for their respective markets as well. These leaders are being honored for a variety of reasons, including contributions to the wearable devices market, bringing the on‑demand model to a new industry, the introduction of millisecond marketing, and making members of a large social media network more accessible to enterprises. Their vision can—and likely will—change the nature of business for their employees, partners, customers, and competitors. That’s transformational.
