According to Gulf Energy Information’s Global Energy Infrastructure database, the Asia-Pacific region continues to lead in active projects in the hydrocarbon processing industry. The region accounts for 42% of active project market share, followed by the Middle East (16%) and the U.S. (11%). Most projects (54%) are in preconstruction phases (e.g., planning/proposed, feasibility study, front-end engineering design), and most new project announcements within the past month were focused on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable fuels production capacity.
