Prime Video, the Amazon-owned service that will debut early-round streaming coverage of the 2026 Masters on Thursday and Friday from 1-3 p.m. EDT, will also premiere “Inside Amen Corner,” a data-driven streaming broadcast of the 11th, 12th and 13th holes at Augusta National that will air all four tournament days, Sports Business Journal first reported. The stats-based feed – which won’t replace the Amen Corner stream available on Masters.com – will air from approximately 10:45 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 11:45 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, Augusta National has upgraded “The Masters Vault” – an interactive video archive that now allows fans to search for every shot shown on every final-round broadcast since 1968 – in partnership with IBM. READ MORE
Josh Gibbons of Houston and Kade Stewart of Magnolia, Texas, shot a final-round 65 to come from behind Sunday to win the prestigious Champions Cup Invitational at Champions Golf Club in Houston.
Gibbons and Stewart started the final round three strokes behind leaders Charlie Holland and Jordan Russell, both from Dallas, but the third-round leaders struggled to a final-round 72 that left them tied for fourth place.
Marcus Jones of Argyle, Texas, and Brad Mason of Dallas shared second place with Will Griffin of Dallas and Wesley McClain of Montgomery, Texas, in the 72-hole best-ball event that was started in 1961 by Texas golf legends Jackie Burke and Jimmy Demaret.
Stewart, a member at Champions, is the reigning Texas Mid-Amateur champion while Gibbons is a former University of Houston golfer. RESULTS
Asterisk Talley, the No. 1 girl in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, will have a secret weapon at this week’s Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
Talley, 17, has tabbed Miles Russell, the No. 1 boy in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, to be her caddie for the championship, Golfweek first reported.
Talley and Russell recently won titles at the prestigious Junior Invitational at Sage Valley. The Augusta National Women’s Amateur starts Wednesday, with the first two rounds slated for Champions Retreat Golf Club before the final round at Augusta National. Entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian, whose Los Angeles Golf Club won the TGL title last Tuesday, will be the lead owner of the second franchise in WTGL, the women’s indoor league that will debut next winter, organizer TMRW Sports announced Thursday.
Ohanian and Arthur Blank, who bought the first franchise, are paying about $20 million for their respective women’s teams, Sportico reported, citing two unnamed sources familiar with the details. READ MORE
