Fujikura’s new Ventus TR Blue shaft with upgraded VeloCore+ technology is built for more speed, stability and control.
Building on the legacy of the original Ventus TR’s mid-launch, low-spin performance, the new TR Blue is re-engineered through extensive tour feedback and motion capture testing and sits somewhere between the Ventus Blue and Black as a low-spin option for a wide range of swings.
The TR Blue features enhanced VeloCore+ tech – which helps retain torsional stiffness in the mid-handle section – with a “spread tow” fabric that promotes lower launch and spin than Ventus Blue. The combination delivers greater stability throughout the swing – especially for those who tend to pull or load the shaft aggressively – along with more speed and a smoother feel.
The result is a shaft profile that promotes consistent center-face contact and tighter dispersion for fewer mis-hits.
“The original TR Blue was such a trusted profile, so we wanted to keep what golfers already loved and see how far we could take it with VeloCore+,” said TJ Spidle, product manager at Fujikura. “As soon as testing began, the improvements were clear. We saw more stability, better centredness of contact and more than 80 percent of players saw increased clubhead speed. Players also reported more clubface awareness and a more stable overall feel, which lined up perfectly with the performance data.”
The Ventus TR Blue ($350) is available in a wide variety of weights and flexes for drivers and fairway woods, ranging from 50 to 90 grams and regular through to extra-stiff flex.
