With the PGA Tour moving on to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship, Srixon launched its newest drivers with tour players at TPC River Highlands.
The Srixon ZXi RKT (presumably pronounced “Rocket”) driver lineup made its tour debut in Cromwell with models available for Shane Lowry, Hideki Matsuyama, Sepp Straka and other Srixon tour staffers to try out.
“Ooooo, I’ve been waiting for this,” said Lowry. “Quite nice that. Good feel of it.”

Equipment monitors spotted a core RKT, LS and Max models while four additional models (LS T262, LS D, LS+ and RT) also hit the USGA Conforming List on Monday.
“This week we’re unbelievably excited to introduce our new line of drivers to our PGA Tour staff,” said a Srixon tour rep in a promotional social media post. “It’s a culmination of tons of testing and tons of time. It’s probably the most excited we’ve ever seen our tour staff about a driver lineup coming out. Can’t wait to get it in their hands, test and get them in the bags going forward.”
Srixon hasn’t released any detailed specs on the new drivers, which have more of a “players” shape than the previous ZXi generation driver. Each ZXi RKT head features a newly designed sole with what appears to be carbon fiber material labeled “Acousticore” on each side of the sole plate, introducing weight savings that can be redistributed with adjustable weights toward the edges for higher MOI as well as the higher pitched sound the original ZXi drivers make.
The RKT core model appears to be a standard 460cc head and has weight ports at the heel and toe toward the back. The more compact LS model has forward and rear weight ports for launch and spin control. The larger Max model has a single rear weight for higher launch and MOI.
Its new face design is simply called “RKT Face.”
Ping announced its exclusive putter-only deal with Wyndham Clark immediately ahead of the U.S. Open, and the alliance paid immediate dividends with Clark’s Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset putter playing a starring role in his second major victory at Shinnecock.
Turns out that Clark’s win is the first major for a Ping putter since Bubba Watson at the 2014 Masters using a Milled Anser 1.
Clark also deployed a slightly lower-lofted TaylorMade Qi4D driver to try to bring down his spin numbers. While he doesn’t have a contract with TaylorMade, he extended the streak of TaylorMade drivers accounting for all five men’s and women’s major victories in 2026 with Rory McIlroy and Nelly Korda both using the new Qi4D driver and Aaron Rai’s 2019 model TaylorMade M6.
