Odyssey’s second limited-edition lineup of premium Damascus Steel insert putters features the Damascus Milled One, Milled Two and Rossie S models ($699.99).
The unique Damascus Steel insert is crafted from a layered construction of multiple steel alloys – forged, folded and pressed to create a unique pattern in every piece. The layered structure, combined with a specialized heat treatment, delivers a finely tuned and responsive feel unlike other inserts, the company says. Utilizing AI, the contours on the back surface are precisely engineered to promote consistent ball speed across the face.
Each head is precision milled from premium stainless steel. A premium blasted silver finish complements the Damascus insert and sole plates.
“Damascus Steel is a beautiful material, and the patterns tell the story, because every one is different,” said Jacob Davidson, Odyssey’s general manager. “But what stands out is that as beautiful as these putters are, the feedback from the tour has been the exceptional feel of these putters. We wanted to deliver the most premium performance-driven putter we’ve ever done at Odyssey. When you look at this product, we have so much confidence because there is not one thing we’d do [differently]. On this one we really took our time over the last couple years to try to perfect the design.”
The Damascus Milled Two is a classic blade shape. The crank hosel version provides moderate toe hang and a full shaft of offset generally preferred by players with moderate arc.
The Damascus Rossie is one of Odyssey’s classic shapes and the S neck version provides moderate toe hang and a half-shaft of offset which is also generally preferred by players with moderate arc.
The Damascus Milled One Wide SB is a larger blade and this single-bend version provides minimal toe hang with a half-shaft of offset that is generally preferred by players with minimal arc.
