Salute to Anthony Kim
I remember watching a playoff between John Daly and Tiger Woods years ago. Daly lost, and the lead announcer asked Johnny Miller what he thought Daly would take away from it. Johnny started his answer, stopped almost immediately, and said, “Sometimes it’s not so much what you accomplish in life that counts but what you overcome.”
Hope and redemption. What we all bring to golf and what it sometimes gives us back.
Way to go, AK (“Self-belief fueled Kim’s triumphant moment,” Feb. 16, GGP).

Stuff of cinema
In five years a conversation takes place between a husband (a golfer) and his wife (a non-golfer)
Husband: “Hey dear, how about a movie tonight?”
Wife: “Sure. What do you want to see?”
Husband: “There is a new movie about a young Korean American golfer, who looks to be a phenom. He plays great, taking the world by storm, and is a very likable character. He runs into personal problems and disappears for 12 years. He makes a comeback, winning a tournament beating two of the best in the final round.”
Wife: “Really? I thought you hated Disney movies.”
Redemption squared (“Self-belief fueled Kim’s triumphant moment,” Feb. 16, GGP). You can’t make it up.

LIV rates only a footnote
Enjoy reading Global Golf Post … always something interesting to catch up on!
One request, can you put LIV Golf news to the bottom or as an addendum for the few who can bring themselves to read anything to do with LIV?
For many club golfers who are passionate about the game, LIV Golf has arguably had a negative impact on the PGA Tour and the world of professional golf. For me and my friends, LIV Golf should be shunned in every possible way and left to whither as some believe it will. Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed have finally seen the light … hopefully more will follow.
Please focus and highlight the main tours and leave LIV Golf as a footnote which is all it deserves.
