Three days after winning the LPGA’s Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati – and becoming the first Englishwoman to crack the top five in the Rolex Rankings since their inception in 2006 – Charley Hull was among the guests at Windsor Castle for a banquet hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla last Wednesday in conjunction with President Trump’s state visit to Great Britain.
“One for the memory books,” Hull posted on Instagram.
Six-time major champion Sir Nick Faldo, the former CBS golf analyst who will return to the booth for NBC’s Ryder Cup coverage this week, and R&A chairman Niall Farquharson were also among the banquet’s attendees. READ MORE
Before the United States and Europe square off in the Ryder Cup starting Friday, Bethpage Black will host the Ryder Cup All-Star Matches, featuring teams of eight celebrities from both sides of the pond, on Wednesday.
The U.S. team will include former National Football League stars Eli Manning and Michael Strahan, tennis great John McEnroe, “Saturday Night Live” personality Colin Jost and country music artist Miranda Lambert. Among those vying for Europe will be actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, former National Basketball Association standouts Pau Gasol and Toni Kukoč, and actor Oliver Phelps.
