Callaway wedge designer Roger Cleveland has created a new Jaws Raw line that combines craftsmanship and innovation to elevate wedge-game scoring performance.
Jaws Raw claims to feature the most aggressive grooves in golf, a raw face that promotes maximum spin. Callaway introduces tungsten technology to its sand and lob wedges to center the gravity position for a weight-balanced club that offers feel and control.
An all-new “Z Grind” that Cleveland developed is a more forgiving, low-bounce shotmaker’s wedge. It’s one of four updated grinds available in the new line, which includes 17 loft/bounce combinations in chrome and black-plasma finishes.
The razor-sharp grooves, with a 37-degree wall angle to elevate the groove-edge sharpness, promotes a controlled hop-and-stop trajectory. Its “offset groove-in-groove” technology positions the milled micro-grooves at a 20-percent angle to promote added spin on chips, pitches and lob shots.
With the plating removed on the raw face to enable more connection with the ball, it allows for rusting over time in the scoring zone while maintaining the premium look throughout the rest of the clubhead.
Variable-length hosels are engineered to control trajectory while enhancing forgiveness.
The Jaws Raw wedges retail for $179.99.
