In developing the new Epic Max Star family of golf clubs, Callaway Golf engineers made sure to offer options throughout the entire bag for players with slower swing speeds. That includes fairway metals and hybrids.
For the fairways, the technicians used artificial intelligence for the Flash Face SS21 technology that is designed to produce faster ball speeds on both center and off-center hits. Employing a lighter, stronger triaxial carbon material in the clubhead enabled them to redistribute weight to promote high launch and more forgiveness. Then, there is the adjustable weighting system that allows players to fine-tune launch and spin as well as a premium Attas Speed shaft that works with a Winn Dri-Tac Lite grip and a fixed hosel to reduce the overall weight further.
With regards to the hybrids, those same engineers created new Jailbreak A.I. Velocity blades to produce more speed low on the face where players often mis-hit. The clubs also feature Flash Face SS21 technology, and the tungsten weighting in each loft of this club improves both launch and forgiveness by lowering the center of gravity and elevating the moment of inertia. Inclusion of a lightweight triaxial crown also helps to lower CG, while the fairway wood shaping is designed to make these hybrids easy to hit and easy to launch. And the Attas shaft and fixed hosel help to lower overall club weight.
