Just as impressive as the technology golfers carry in their bags these days is the capability of smartwatches they can wear to track every shot they make on a given round – and to discern yardages on the holes they play. Among the most impressive to hit the market this year is the V3 from Shot Scope.
The V3 uses a patented, artificial intelligence strap technology that allows golfers to capture data on every shot and receive instant feedback, to understand their swings and optimize their performances.
In addition, the product employs dual GPS antennas for improved connectivity and synching – and features a library of more than 35,000 courses worldwide.
“Artificial intelligence in a smart golf watch is a game-changer, as the V3 provides golfers with real-time game tracking data like never before,” said David Hunter, the chief executive officer of Shot Scope, which is based in Edinburgh, Scotland. “As a multifunction watch and backed by V3’s Power-Sense AI strap technology and dual GPS antennas, golfers have never been able to afford such an innovative combination of performance tracking and distance measuring.”
The V3 features three different play modes – GPS, GPS+Track and Pro. The GPS provides distances anywhere on the course, while the GPS+Track offers distances and automatic performance tracking during a round. The Pro mode is designed for tournament use when GPS isn’t allowed and only tracks performance data.
Carrying a suggested retail price of $219, the Shot Scope V3 Smart Golf Watch comes with 16 pre-labeled Club ID tags and five watchstrap color options.
