Late last summer, Srixon brought out the latest-generation versions of Soft Feel, its popular, low-compression distance golf ball.
The first to be released, in early August, was Soft Feel Brite. The FastLayer core in this product features a soft center that gradually transitions to a firm outer edge, for improved distance and feel. A 338-dimple pattern is included to reduce drag at launch and increase lift during descent, with company officials averring that it is particularly effective in the wind. Then, there is a soft, thin cover made to enhance spin on pitches and chips around the green. As for the Brite in this model’s name, that comes from these Soft Feels being offered in three vivid color options: orange, red and green.
Then, Srixon rolled out new editions of Soft Feel and Soft Feel Lady. These boast the same key core and cover technologies of Soft Feel Brite but are sold in different colors, with the Soft Feel offered in soft white and tour yellow and the Soft Feel Lady in soft white and passion pink.
Each Soft Feel product is available in North America at $21.99 a dozen.
