The Odyssey Triple Track putter series borrows a technology that was developed as a visual aid for fighter pilots trying to land their planes on aircraft carriers – and that Odyssey’s parent company Callaway Golf first employed as an alignment tool with its Chrome Soft golf balls. In this case, three lines are prominently featured on top of the putter head to improve a player’s ability to align their putts.
Another feature of these clubs is a new Microhinge Star insert. Company officials say it is designed to provide a firmer feel and enhanced sound at impact while also offering the same roll characteristics of the White Hot Microhinge insert.
Then, there is the Stroke Lab Weighting, which comes in the form of a multi-material shaft in each flat stick. The weight (40 grams) that is saved gets redistributed to the head and grip end in ways that rebalance the putter, and that improves both tempo and consistency in the stroke, the company says.
Triple Track putters from Odyssey are available in several models, including Double Wide, 2-Ball Blade, Ten S, Double Wide Flow, 2-Ball, Marxman and Ten.
