The 2026 Pro-Am Series is already taking shape, with more events still to be announced. Seven events are on the calendar so far. It all begins May 4 at the Isleta Spring Invitational with 4-person teams using a Las Vegas Team format for amateurs (1 gross, 2 net). Then the momentum carries into summer with a mix of 18-hole and 36-hole events in June, July, and August.
Fall brings the Turtleback Mountain NM Open Pro-Am on September 13 and the D&L Meters Invitational on October 4. Then, before the season wraps up on October 26, the Halloween Open will take place at Lone Star GC.
The Sun Country PGA Section is excited for another season of Drive, Chip & Putt, with qualifiers hosted across New Mexico and West Texas.
Registration is now open, and the Section will host four Local Qualifiers, followed by the Sub-Regional Qualifier at Twin Warriors Golf Club. Advancing juniors will earn a trip to the Regional Qualifier at Los Angeles Country Club on September 27, 2026. That day, the final spots will be on the line for the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club in April 2027.

The annual PGA Show serves as the kickoff to the golf season. The Show brought together staff, officers, and board members from across the PGA of America’s 41 Sections, providing time to reconnect and share best practices for the year ahead. A key component of the week was the PGA Section Business Operations (SBO) Conference at the convention center, where staff participated in breakout sessions and received updates on national programs and Section priorities for 2026.
When the show floor opened on Wednesday, January 21, our Section staff met with current and prospective partners and connected with PGA Professionals to support 2026 initiatives.
