The 2026 Arizona Senior Open Championship takes place May 4-6 at Verde River Golf & Social Club in Rio Verde, Ariz. Last year, Joe Summerhays, from Syracuse, Utah, defeated Jim Carter, from Scottsdale, on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff. Both finished the 54-hole championship with a 2-under-par 214. The Arizona Senior Open Championship is open to professionals and amateurs nationwide aged 50 or over. Following 36 holes of play, the field is reduced to the low 50 scorers plus ties. Amateurs must have an active USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 10.0 at the time of entry.

The Southwest PGA will conduct a Section Qualifier for an exemption into the General Qualifier for the Cologuard Classic, a PGA Tour Champions event. The Section Qualifier is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, at Oro Valley (Ariz.) Country Club and will be an 18-hole stroke-play competition. One (1) Southwest PGA Professional will earn a spot in the Cologuard Classic General Qualifier, which will be held Monday, March 16, also at Oro Valley Country Club.
In addition, a Pre-Qualifier open to all participants age 50 and older will be held Friday, March 13, at San Ignacio Golf Club. in Green Valley, Ariz. The low five (5) finishers from the Pre-Qualifier will advance to the Cologuard Classic General Qualifier.
The Cologuard Classic will take place March 20–22 at La Paloma Country Club in Tucson.
The Southwest PGA will host eight local qualifiers in 2026 for the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship from May 17 to June 28. Sites include: El Conquistador Golf Club in Tucson (May 17), Bear Creek Golf Complex in Chandler, Ariz., (May 28), Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale (June 2), Sun City (Ariz.) Country Club (June 4), Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale (June 13), Paiute Golf Resort in Las Vegas (June 18), Papago Golf Club in Phoenix (June 25) and Pinewood Country Club in Munds Park, Ariz., (June 28). In addition, the Southwest PGA will host two sub-regionals on July 26 and August 15 at Wickenburg Ranch (Ariz.) Golf & Social Club and Aguila Golf Course in Phoenix, respectively. The west regional final will be held September 27 at the Los Angeles (Calif.) Country Club.
