The Aloha Section PGA Foundation conducted the 2026 Ho’olaule’a Awards, which celebrated Hawaii’s finest golfers from both our amateur and professional organizations. The Hawaii State Golf Association, Hawaii State Junior Golf Association, Hawaii Golf Course Superintendent Association and the Aloha Section PGA, selected these individuals by their respective Boards for their achievements throughout the past year.
In addition, the Hawaii Golf Hall of Fame Committee inducted Damien Jamila, as their 79th member, recognizing his outstanding accomplishments in golf.
Aloha Section PGA President Ed Kageyama, presented the numerous awards to the Section winners, which include the following:
Player of the Year: Ryan Cancino, PGA
Senior Player of the Year: Juan Rodrigues, PGA
Sales Representative of the Year: Aaron Tom
Private Club Merchandiser of the Year: Stephan Sims, PGA
Bill Strausbaugh Award: Oliver Oliquiano, PGA
PGA Hope Award: Scott Ashworth, PGA
Teacher of the Year: Kellie Hines, PGA
Youth Player Development: Renee Lee, PGA
Assistant Golf Professional of the Year: Mark Chun, PGA
Player Development: Katie Manlolo, PGA
President’s Award: Junko Harkins, PGA
Distinguished Service Award: Jay Hinazumi
Honorary President’s Plaque: Ben Hongo, PGA
Ho’okuleana Lifetime Achievement Award: Marty Keiter, PGA
Golf Professional of the Year: Kyle Kunioka, PGA
A special Mahalo goes out to the Friends of Hawaii Charities for their generous support of the Aloha Section PGA Foundation and the numerous local charities through their partnership from the Sony Open in Hawaii.
