A striking new chapter in Colorado golf is officially unfolding along the Front Range. Located in the growing town of Johnstown, Bella Ridge Golf Club is set to make its highly anticipated debut, introducing an 18-hole premium course that combines thoughtful architecture, modern amenities, and sweeping mountain views—highlighted by the iconic presence of Longs Peak on the horizon.
Positioned perfectly between Denver and Fort Collins, Bella Ridge Golf Club was designed to be more than a stop along the way. From its engaging layout to its welcoming clubhouse atmosphere, the course aims to become a must-play destination for golfers across Northern Colorado and beyond.
Even before officially opening its doors, Bella Ridge Golf Club has already earned national attention, receiving an Honorable Mention for Best New Public Courses from Golf Digest. The recognition speaks to the course’s strong design, playability, and setting—placing Bella Ridge among the standout new public golf experiences in the country.
The par-72 layout at Bella Ridge Golf Club is built to challenge and inspire golfers of all skill levels. Featuring nearly 200 feet of elevation change, 50 strategically placed bunkers, and wide, inviting fairways, the course rewards smart decision-making while remaining accessible and enjoyable.
Each hole flows naturally with the terrain, offering variety from tee to green and showcasing the beauty of Northern Colorado at every turn. Golfers will encounter multiple vantage points where mountain views take center stage, making each round as visually memorable as it is competitive.
Bella Ridge was designed by award-winning golf course architect Art Schaupeter, whose career spans more than 25 years. Schaupeter is widely recognized for creating courses that honor the land, emphasize playability, and deliver a lasting experience for golfers.
His portfolio includes nationally recognized designs and renovations highlighted by Golfweek and Golf Digest, and his philosophy is evident throughout Bella Ridge’s layout.
“Golf should be an adventure… most interesting, most engaging, and, more importantly, most enjoyable when it is treated as a sport more than as a game,” Schaupeter says—an approach that is clearly reflected across the course.
Bella Ridge Golf Club uses a dynamic pricing model for tee times, allowing rates to adjust based on demand, time of day, day of the week, and how far in advance a tee time is booked.
Golfers who plan ahead can take advantage of lower rates, while peak demand times—such as weekend mornings—may be priced higher. Off-peak times, including weekday afternoons, often provide added value. This approach helps keep golf flexible and accessible for a wide range of players.
Bella Ridge offers an impressive suite of practice amenities designed to support golfers before, during, and after their round:
Driving Range: 400 yards deep and 150 yards wide, with small, medium, and large range baskets available
Putting Greens: Two putting greens, including one expansive 15,000-square-foot green ideal for warm-ups and touch refinement
Short Game Area: Three dedicated short game holes, including a greenside bunker for realistic practice scenarios
Range pass details and additional offerings will be announced soon.
Committed to growing the game, Bella Ridge Golf Club will soon introduce private and group instruction led by its on-site golf professionals. Whether golfers are just getting started or looking to fine-tune specific aspects of their game, structured programs and personalized lessons will be available.
