“I just like racing. In the early ‘70s, I used to go to quarter miles. Then I started to get more into the NASCAR scene.”
“In the 1970s, it was Darrell Waltrip. In the 1980s, I liked the Labontes and those Texas boys. I ended up buying a Toyota in the 2000s. I always had Chevys, but once I bought a Toyota, I thought I’ll take the Rookie of the Year. So, I’m with Denny Hamlin.”
“I ordered something, and it asked if I’d like to join. Right away, I got a chance to go on the infield and ride the pace car. I’ve always gotten pit passes; I’ve been to 13 tracks. This gave me more opportunities to get up close.”
“I live in Texas now, but I lived in Florida, Connecticut and Virigina as well. My first race was at Daytona. I went to Daytona no matter what when I lived in Florida. I went to Atlanta, Richmond, Darlington … I never went to Martinsville. I’m trying to get to all of them.”
