Bryan Platt doesn’t hesitate when asked to share the greatest experience he’s gained from his membership in the Official NASCAR Members Club.
“A couple of years ago, I got hot passes for a race at Charlotte,” Platt said. “My daughter was a big Danica Patrick fan, and we lucked out and got into her garage. The hot passes were incredible. It’s a bummer we can’t get them all of the time.”
Platt, a high school teacher and college professor from Ellington, Conn., has been a NASCAR fan since his early teen years in 1992. He fell in love with Jeff Gordon’s Rainbow Warrior and has followed the sport ever since. He recently joined ROAR for a Q&A
“I thought, ‘Wow, that is a cool looking car.’ He was always challenging Dale Sr. That’s when I became a fan of the sport.”
“I became interested in the business aspect of the sport and the aerodynamics. I’m not a traditional fan, but I really like to take the garage tours.”
“I went to my first race at Dover in 2004. I’ve been every year after that with the exception of a couple of years. I’ve been to Charlotte for both races a few years. It’s looking like I may go to the ROVAL this year.”
“I follow Chase Elliott. I’m just a Hendrick Motorsports guy. Once Chase moved to the 24 after Gordon, I could see the writing on the wall that Chase will go to the 9 and William Byron would take over the 24.”
