A message from Jack Cummings:
I am proud to announce that Cummings Printing is celebrating our Centennial!!!
Founded in 1914 by Lew A Cummings, Cummings Printing has been producing magazines, catalogs, brochures and pieces of similar format for 100 years. Through two World Wars, a depression, several recessions, the internet and countless other challenges, Cummings Printing has stood tall among publication printers. This remarkable achievement has been accomplished by continually staying at the forefront of technology, while remaining family owned and operated.
Nothing illustrates this more than our purchase of a new Komori 38D 32 pg web press. As our competitors nervously rely on older equipment and techniques (i.e. producing 32 pg “A” size products by blending webs from 2 different 16 pg presses), Cummings Printing will take delivery of this first of its kind (in North America) press in late 2013.
To support the 38D, Cummings has also acquired a Kodak Magnus VLF CTP device. Also state of the art, this device will ensure the 32 pg (64 pg digest, 16 pg tabloid) press will be efficiently supplied with the highest quality printing plates.
In our 5th generation, the future looks bright, both from a personnel and an equipment perspective. It will be my mission as President to continue our tradition of producing quality publications, on time, at the best value, and God willing, for the next 100 years.

Kodak Insite
The INSITE Prepress Portal System is an internet portal that streamlines job submission, job-status tracking, online collaboration, and remote proofing or approval. A powerful, user-friendly collaboration tool, the INSITE Prepress Portal System is an effective means to move jobs through production faster, eliminating opportunities for error, confusion, or delay. In addition, Apple has added a Kodak InSite App that allows iPad users to review and approve jobs from virtually anywhere.
Fsc Certification (SW-COC-003613)
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) promotes the “responsible use of forest resources” and Cummings Printing is proud to be awarded this certification. The FSC is an international, non-profit, membership-based organization. FSC’s mission is to promote environmentally viable management of the world’s forests.
Cummings Printing Company is an FSC Certified printer as a result of completion of the Chain of Custody (COC) Program. FSC’s COC Certification provides documentation proving the paper origin from a well-managed forest through various production stages to being printed.
Soyseal
Cummings has met the guidelines put forth by the American Soy Bean Association to utilize the SoySeal logo on our publications.
Digital Editions and Apps
Cummings can create both digital editions and apps to complement your printed product and open up additional revenue streams. These dynamic editions and apps offer a variety of features including, hyperlinking, text search, monthly statistics, behavior tracking, sharing via social media, page zero advertising and much more.
Award Winning
Cummings is a past recipient of the Corporate Business Achievement Award from the United State Postal Service. This award was presented to Cummings at the National Postal Forum in Washington DC and is in recognition of our “innovation, teamwork, communication and customer satisfaction in partnership with the US Postal Service.”
