Dear Chamber Member:

Each month, you read about ways our members are embracing and implementing The Chamber’s core strategies of Lead, Connect and Innovate. This month, Connections addresses one of those topics head on with its “Meager Yet Mighty Innovation” article.  As you’ll read in the article, innovation can take on various forms, like making new products, services, processes and organizations or it can just be a simple twist on an old way of doing things.

In 2012, The Chamber launched an Internal Innovation Process to help develop an innovative culture within The Chamber and define a process for fostering and encouraging innovation for future member programs and services. And this year, we’re continuing to push ourselves to think differently and cultivate and encourage innovation through our strategic areas of focus.

We have learned firsthand how challenging it can be to change your culture toward innovative thinking. But we have also come to appreciate how essential the journey is for our continued success. I hope this month’s feature helps you in your journey.
